  3. Thursday 6th May, 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm at Leamington Spa Art Gallery & Museum

Two times BAFTA award winning film maker, Michael Baig Clifford, will be screening his work at Leamington Spa Art Gallery & Museum on Thursday 6 May from 6.30 - 7.30pm as part of their regular Thursday Flickers events.

Baig Clifford regularly directs documentaries, drama and gallery installations for Channel 4, the BBC, Channel 5 and the UK Film Council. His film 'Brown Paper Bag' won best short film at the BAFTAs in 2004 and 'Hiding Place' won a children's BAFTA in the same year. At this screening he will present various examples of his work and there will be an opportunity to ask questions about his processes and inspirations.

Thursday Flickers is a free weekly film and video event at Leamington Spa Art Gallery & Museum that provides an opportunity to see a wide range of innovative work by young people, graduates and award winning professional artists and film makers, including documentaries, animations, short films and performance art. Film screenings are held on Thursday evenings from 6.30 - 7.30pm, everyone is welcome and there is no need to book in advance.

Tammy Woodrow, organiser of the Thursday Flickers events, said: 'As well as being a chance for the audience to see some exciting new talent the screenings also provide film makers with a valuable opportunity to showcase their work and to get feedback.'

If you are interested in film and digital media you can follow the Thursday Flickers blog at http://thursdayflickers.blogspot.com. The blog includes previews and reviews of the screenings, opportunities for film makers and the chance for you to add your own comments.
